Dr. Satya Narayan Behera Successfully Performs East India’s First MISSO Total Knee Replacement Surgery at Ashwini Hospital, Cuttack

In a groundbreaking medical achievement, Dr. Satya Narayan Behera, Senior Consultant in Orthopedics and Joint Replacement Surgery at Ashwini Hospital, Cuttack, has successfully performed East India’s first MISSO Total Knee Replacement (TKR) surgery. This pioneering procedure was conducted on Mrs. Hemaprova Malla, a 65-year-old patient suffering from severe knee pain due to osteoarthritis.
The advanced robotic-assisted surgery was performed using the state-of-the-art MISSO system, a fully automated robot that ensures enhanced precision and accuracy. Mrs. Malla underwent a robotic knee replacement on her right knee and is currently recovering well.
