Special Court Vyapam Cases, Gwalior Sentences Two Accused to Three Years Rigorous Imprisonment in Vyapam Impersonation Case
The Special Court, Vyapam Cases, Gwalior, today, i.e., 12.08.2026, has convicted and sentenced two accused private persons namely, Amitesh and Vipin Kumar to Rigorous Imprisonment for Three Years with a fine of Rs. 5,000 each in Vyapam Cases.
The Central Bureau of Inveastigation (CBI) re-registered the instant case on 05.08.2015 on the orders of Hon’ble SCI in WP (Civil) No. 372/2015 and 417/2015. The original FIR registered on 09.03.2014 in PS-Cantt, Guna, based on the complaint of Superintendent, Examination Centre, Govt. PG College, Guna. It was alleged that a person, appearing as candidate Vipin Kumar, was apprehended from the examination room on the basis of non-resemblance with the photograph on record while being verified by the invigilator. Thereafter, Examination Superintendent of College, after preliminary verification, got the FIR registered against the impersonator at PS/Cantt, Guna. The accused identified himself as Amitesh, resident of Distt. Ghaziabad (UP) and confessed about impersonating on behalf of original candidate, Vipin Kumar, resident of Distt- Moradabad (UP).
After completition of investigation, the CBI filed chargesheet against the accused persons, Amitesh (Solver) and Vipin Kumar (Candidate) on 06.10.2016.
