Hubballi Division Successfully Revives Freight Loading from Navaluru Railway Station After Two Years

Hubballi Division of South Western Railway has achieved another significant milestone by successfully reviving freight loading from Navaluru Railway Station after a gap of two years, further strengthening its freight business and expanding customer outreach.

Transport Corporation of India (TCI) had placed a demand for 32 DBKM wagons at Navaluru (NVU) Station on 16 July 2026 for the transportation of JCB machinery. The consignment was dispatched from Navaluru (NVU) to Asalpur Jobner (JOB), Rajasthan, via Guntakal (GTL).

The total weight of the consignment was 1,400 tonnes, generating freight revenue of ₹24,76,658 for Hubballi Division.

This marks the first freight loading from Navaluru Station in the last two years and reflects the sustained efforts of Hubballi Division, under the leadership of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), to regain customer confidence and promote railways as the preferred mode of freight transportation.

Transport Corporation of India (TCI) has announced its plan to load one freight rake every month from Navaluru (Karnataka) to Asalpur Jobner (JOB), Rajasthan. This is expected to generate an estimated revenue of approximately ₹2.22 crore for South Western Railway during the financial year 2026–27.
